At between 12 to 18 months mature our Unpasteurised is the most traditional Cheddar in our range. Made with the same techniques and passion as in the 1960’s when we started, this is the cheddar that put us firmly on the map of West Country Cheesemakers.

    Unfortunately, I have to agree with a previous reviewer that the whole 200g portion of cheese tasted like the outside of the rind, and given it is so thin, the whole cheese tasted stronger than the strongest blue cheese in a not so nice way. Had to be thrown away as inedible. What I did have also was not crumbly at all, and had more the texture of Velvetta.

    Very pleasant taste and texture although I thought I could taste a hint of rind on occasion. I put this down to the slight moisture seepage while the cheese was still in its plastic wrapper. Or could I have been mistaken??
